Frequently asked questions

Specialty coffee refers to high-quality coffee that scores 80+ points on the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) grading scale. It is grown in ideal climates, carefully harvested, and processed to preserve flavour clarity and character. Unlike commercial-grade coffee, specialty coffee focuses on traceability, ethical sourcing, and precise roasting to highlight each coffee’s natural profile.

Yes — specialty coffee offers better flavour, freshness, and sourcing transparency. Specialty coffee beans are carefully selected and freshly roasted to deliver a balanced, consistent cup whether you brew espresso, cafetière, filter, or V60. You’re also supporting sustainable farming practices and responsible production.

Our specialty coffee is made using high-quality Arabica beans sourced from carefully selected farms and roasted to maximise flavour and balance. Unlike mass-produced coffee, we focus on quality at every stage — from origin and
processing to fresh roasting and grinding. The result is a clean, rich, and approachable cup without pretension.

Single origin coffee comes from one region or farm and showcases the distinct flavour characteristics of that origin, such as Brazilian, Vietnamese or Ethiopian coffees. Coffee blends combine beans from multiple
origins to create balance, consistency, and a reliable flavour profile. Single origins are ideal for exploration; blends are perfect for everyday drinking and milk-based drinks.
